Bay Leaf

A fragrant leaf frequently used in cooking is known as bay leaf. It can be used whole, dried or fresh, and is then removed from the meal before being eaten. Less frequently, it can be used in ground form. It may originate from a variety of tree species, the most popular being the California bay tree and the bay laurel.

Black Cardamom

Similar to the green Indian cardamom pods, but with a distinct flavour, the pods are used as a spice. This spice is rarely used in sweet foods, contrasting to that of green cardamom. Its flavour and scent are smokey since it was traditionally dried over an open flame. It is often used for flavouring numerous culinary dishes because of its pleasant scent. Black cardamom is known as giant cardamom because it is grown on a massive scale and commands a greater price in the market. Greater cardamom is the English name for large cardamom. In Hindi, it is known as Badi Ilayachi (Badi elaichi).

Mustard Seed

Mustard seeds are the small round seeds of various mustard plants. The seeds are usually about 1 to 2 millimetres (0.039 to 0.079 in) in diameter and may be colored from yellowish white to black.

Green Cardamom

The species that are utilized to make green cardamom are indigenous to tropical and subtropical Asia. Sumerian and Indian Ayurveda literature include the first mentions of cardamom

Lal Mirch (Red Chilli)

A condiment that gives food flavour and colour is dry Lal Mirch (Red Chilli). It has some homoeopathic and therapeutic qualities.
